New Digital Photography Breaks for Beginners - Mullion Cove Hotel

These new 4 night beginners Digital Photography holiday courses,
based at the Mullion Cove Hotel, South Cornwall, with stunning views,
on the rugged coast of the unspoilt and world famous Lizard Peninsula
in South West Cornwall, are aimed at those who are new to digital
photography, and want to learn to take better pictures.
Led by Tim & Sue Stanger, the course will
be relaxed but comprehensive. The content will largely be dictated
by those attending. It will include both workshops in the hotel,
and fieldwork in and around Mullion Cove, with visits further a-field
and including (weather dependent) the quintessential fishing village
of Cadgwith, Church Cove and the beautiful Kynance Cove.
Maximum numbers: 10 Photographers per
course plus non photography partners most welcome

Price includes: Personal daily tuition by Tim
Stanger, with support by his wife Sue Stanger, evening presentations
and discussions, welcome drinks reception, dinner bed and breakfast
for 4 nights in a twin or double room, buffet lunch on departure
day and VAT @ 17.5%.
Price does not include: Transport to Photographic
Venues on the Lizard chosen by Tim Stanger. Guests are required
to arrange their own transport in their own vehicles please with
car share on location a popular option amongst guests.
Course Information:

The course will cover:-
- Camera Controls, Jargon busting, The Digital Image, Composition,
Using Light
- Using a computer to edit images
- Using editing programmes with Abobe Photoshop 5.0 Elements
- Printing and presenting images
- Setting images to music as an Audio Visual Presentation using
Pro Show Gold software
On the first evening participants are invited to join Tim and Sue
for a Welcome Drinks Reception and “Ice- breaker” Session
at 6pm, followed by dinner giving everyone the chance to get to
know one another and what our customers are looking to gain from
attending the course and on the last morning of the course, Tim
and Sue will compile a CD presentation with copies for everyone
to take away with them as a memento.
No experience of digital photography is required but the following
equipment would be helpful.
- A Digital Camera with its Instruction Manual and battery charger.
- Memory Cards
- A tripod is not essential but useful
- Comfortable walking footwear
- Warm outdoor clothing
More about your Digital Photography Tutor – Tim Stanger
Tim has been involved in photography for over 25 years. Whilst still
a Bank Manager, he taught photography to adults in Kent for some
eight years at City & Guilds Level. Having moved to the West
Country in 1995 Tim & Sue started a Photographic Library providing
images primarily for the Tourism Industry, as well as owning a very
successful card and calendar business. Tim gained his Licentiateship
with the Royal Photographic Society in 1989, and is a Judge for
the Western Counties Photographic Confederation.
Tim & Sue regularly exhibit their work both framed and on canvas
and examples of their work can be found on their website www.southwestimages.co.uk
